Blocklist: companies to never monitor
Add your own company, customers, or competitors to a never-monitor list that's skipped on every CSV, CRM, and quick-add import.
Blocklist: companies to never monitor
TL;DR — The blocklist is a "never monitor these" list. Add your own company, current customers, partners, or competitors and they're silently skipped on every import — CSV, CRM sync, and the Chrome quick-add.
What this does
On Settings → Blocklist you add companies that should never become monitored accounts. A blocked company is excluded from:
- CSV uploads
- CRM sync imports
- the Chrome quick-add extension
- the daily digest
You can block by company name and, optionally, by Companies House number for an exact match. Either one is enough to deny a row.
When to use it
- Your own company and group entities, so you never get signals about yourself.
- Active customers you don't want to re-engage as "lost".
- Partners or competitors that keep arriving in CRM exports.
Add an optional reason when you block something — your teammates see it, so the list stays self-explanatory months later.
Blocklist vs snooze vs archive
These are three different tools:
- Blocklist — permanent stop-monitoring for a company. It will never appear in your account, even if re-imported. Use this for your own company, live customers, and competitors.
- Snooze — temporary silence on a specific signal or company, for 30 or 90 days. Monitoring resumes automatically when the snooze expires.
- Archive — removes a company from your active monitoring cap so it stops generating signals, but keeps it in a restorable 90-day archive. Use this when you're over your plan cap and need to free up space; you can restore archived companies later.
You should not use the blocklist to quiet a noisy signal type — that's a signal quality setting. The blocklist is about which companies exist in your account at all.
Defaults
Empty for new orgs. The list is org-wide, shows who added each entry and when, and you can remove any row to start monitoring that company again. Removing a block doesn't re-import the company — re-add it through your normal upload or sync.
